Community Description
Ker Ngornyan is a small village of about 400 people on the main road. The people are farmers who mostly grow groundnuts, coos, and sesame. Some people are keeping livestock including cows. At least two farmers are making good efforts in tree planting.
The main pump for drinking water in the village is non-functional.
Project Description
This project is to repair the main pump by replacing the broken parts, including the piston fittings.
This is a routine job performed by a local craftsman. The parts are known collectively as a "repair kit", and are sourced locally.
Project Impact
400 people will benefit from this project.

The project was to repair the pump of the main well in Ker Ngornyan by repairing the broken parts.
Suzanne reports:
The repairs to the pump in Ker Ngornyan were completed.
Several men of the village were on hand to help as lifting the meters and meters of pipe takes at least four persons. A new valve was fitted to the piston.
The work was easily done in just a couple of hours in the evening. When the work was done I got a hug from one of the women in the village. That is a rare event here and I took it as an expression of thanks.
Every time I go to Ker Kgornyan now I am greeted by someone who thanks me for helping to repair the pump.
We extend our thanks to Suzanne for completing this project, and again wish to thank Adam Brewer for providing the funding.
